Make your Angel

Thank you very much for taking part in this art project. With your help, we are planning to fill the roof of a 1000 year old church with 1000 angels – all decorated by schools and members of the public.
How to make your Angel:
Firstly, print out the angel template on a sheet of white A4 card, using the link below
ANGEL TEMPLATE – DOWNLOAD HERE
1. Cut out the angel including the area joining the wings and the little triangle.
2. Turn the angel shape over so the shape is completely blank and write a message of hope or happiness around the bottom of the skirt. This could be a message to the world in these difficult times or something we could do to make the world a better place.
3. Then turn the angel over so you can see the line of marks on the wings. These marked lines outline the wing area to be decorated. Please do not stick anything over them as they need to be cut later. Decorate just the angel’s wings using whatever decoration you wish using stickers, paint, felt pens, crayons, tissue paper etc. Do not colour the body. Please decorate both sides of the wings if you wish.
4. That is it! Your angel is complete. Please return it flat for us to do the next stage. Thank you very much for being part of this art project.
We do hope you, your friends and your family will come to this beautiful church and see them on either the 10th December 2022 (10 – 4) or 11th of December 2022 (11 – 4) when the angels will all be in place above our Beneath Angels’ Wings Art Exhibition. Perhaps you will be able to spot yours.

Hi
My son from Willington Primary made an angel.
However we were unable to visit this weekend to view them.
Will they still be up this week or next coming Sunday?
Hi Carly,
We will be opening the church up again after Christmas for one more day to give those who missed it a chance to come and see the angels. Keep an eye on our Facebook and we will update the new date when its confirmed. Thanks
Please would you also let me know when you are open again before you take the angels down. Hopefully we would like to come to the morning service this Sunday as the service at our church is in the afternoon.
I must say your church looks magnificent. Well done!
